The report The IT/ICT Sector in Poland – 2025, prepared by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, indicates that the value of the Polish IT and ICT market in 2025 has been estimated at over USD 31 billion, with a projected growth to approximately USD 51 billion by 2030. According to the report, entrepreneurs signal a particularly high demand for specialists in the areas of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

Why WSZiB?

As part of the Information technology in big data educational path, you will gain comprehensive knowledge of advanced, modern database technologies (including NoSQL), learn how to use artificial neural networks and machine learning methods, e.g., in image and graphic object recognition and video processing, using advanced artificial intelligence methods.

As part of the Software engineering and software development educational path, you will gain knowledge in the field of secure coding and secure application development, and learn about the principles of computer system security in software development.

In addition to technical skills, you will also gain management skills - during workshops, you will acquire the skills necessary to hold managerial positions in the IT sector.

What will we teach you?

During the course, you will gain knowledge in areas such as technical IT and telecommunications, as well as related disciplines such as: IT, management and quality sciences.
You will learn about the relationships and connections between economic entities and the social institutions that form their environment, their nature, goals, regularities and principles from the perspective of applied computer science.
You will learn about the tools necessary for working on complex programming projects related to databases and data warehouses, large data set exploration and data science, broader issues of system security and cybersecurity, and mobile application programming.
You will acquire language skills in the field of technical IT and telecommunications (specialised language), in line with the requirements specified for level B2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The Applied Computer Science Master’s Program with a practical profile is a programme that will provide you with the specialist knowledge and practical skills necessary for the IT job market. The programme combines a classic approach to computer science with modern elements such as project management, law and managerial skills.

During the classes, you will deepen your knowledge of programming, learn how to analyze large data sets, system security, and cybersecurity. Depending on the chosen path of study, you will deepen your knowledge of modern database technologies, artificial intelligence, Big Data project management, or system security, which will prepare you to effectively implement complex IT projects.
